Hoograven
~8 minutes by bike

Hoograven was built in the 1950s as a classic post-war workers' neighbourhood, and that straightforward character is still here. The Smaragdplein is the centre — shops and the library. Old Hoograven, towards Oud-Wulven, has more of a village feel with low-rise houses and front gardens. And the Musketonbaan hints at the glorious past of football club SVHU.
By bike 7 to 10 minutes via the 't Goylaan and Vondellaan. By car 5 minutes. Bus 47 runs through Hoograven towards Utrecht Centraal. Free parking right at the door.
